3 in 30: Here we go!

I have seen people blogging about 3 in 30 and I think it will be a good way for me to focus on my goals as a teacher this year. It is our summer holidays here though so I am starting with some personal goals too.

Goal One: Keep the kitchen bench clear.

Goal Two: Exercise every day.

Goal Three: Buy a diary and write in key dates for 2012 so I am organised and can then begin planning my school year.

So far goal 1 and 2 are going along well. Need to get on to goal 3!

Hello to anyone out there who may read this!
I am a second year teacher in a small school in Canterbury, New Zealand.

I love my job and I am always looking for great ideas to use with my darling class.
I stumbled across the growing world of teacher blogs one day and now I follow over 1 hundred!
I was feeling bad for taking everyone's fabulous ideas and not contributing my own to this amazing learning community!
I am not sure how this will work out, as I am so busy with school and the rest of my life (aren't we all). I don't want to promise anything amazing/magical/fantastic!

I have a cool class blog that shows what my class are learning and I try as much as possible to get them creating posts and commenting.

I am married to an awesome guy who is studying Electrical Engineering - One more year to go!
We have a crazy bengal cat called Cleo and a hyper samoyed puppy called Khan.

So, that's me. I hope we can share awesome teaching ideas and resources!
